it’s entirely possible that cousins doesn’t have the necessary skills to pull an offensive gameplan out of his backside. he might require a structured offense (as i imagine most big men do) where evans and thornton can get by just fine without it as they improvise quite often as it is.

Petrie has never been one to dump young talent like DMC
I think they will work it out in the long run. And Petrie would fire westphal before he trades DMC. I dont think either will happen during the season.

I watched Otis pretty closely last year and it appeared he had little to no input on the Kings Coaching staff. Hell, he didn’t even get a front row seat during the games. He was usually sitting BEHIND whiteside. And he appeared confused and lost during the halftime interviews.

How'd Jimmer play
Watched the Giants game but saw Jimmer had 7 pts and 5 assists. Hoping he played alright. I taped last nights game and replayed it today and Jimmer really struggled both shooting and defending. I think his shooting will come around and I’ve been happy with his court sense and especially his passing. That said he’s really really struggling on defense and he better play better on offense or Westphall will not be able to use him because of his defense that I really don’t think will improve too much.

Hit some good shots but missed on a couple that were heartbreakers like a wide open three from the baseline. His 5 assists were terrific and he had some other great passes that should have been assists but were missed open looks or contested underneath. He was involved in a couple of back to back defensive stops or steals for fast breaks. If he continues to get playing time he will get more comfortable and you’ll see bigger numbers from him for sure.
Jimmers night
Thanks for the positive feedback. I really think Jimmer will figure it out on offense especially if he gets to play the point as he has incredible court sense and if he becomes the passer I think he can his whole ofensive game will open up. What I’m afraid of is if he becomes a part time spot up shooter I feel he’ll be too short and his defending will be a more difficult issue.
