As painful as things are right now, try to relax and take a distant outlook at what this season could/hopefully look like. We are the youngest team in the league and almost all of our players still have to develop and fullfill their potential. Looking at the first half of this season, we play a huge amount of our games on the road. What does this mean? It means we will loose, and loose a lot if we don't start playing better outside Arco, I mean Power Balence Arena. But what about the second half?
The second half of the season we get a TON of home games. This schedule actually works well for this young team. If this team can somehow hang on, and find a few wins and start to grow they have an excellent chance to show improvement in the second half. This will make up fans feel good about things too. I don't know about the rest of you, but if the Kings are going to lose, I'd rather see them get most of the L's out of the way in the beginning. If at the end of the season the Kings start putting together some wins, who knows what can happen. I do know that it will get us fans excited and all the comments here will hopefully be more about how many wins the Kings have in a row as opposed to who they need to take out of their starting line up (and I'm plenty guilty of participating in those posts too).
I am going to try and hold on until after the all-star break and hope the home schedule brings some hope that this team starts developing. I really want something positive to be happening as the new arena construction begins. Don't get too down Kings fans, better days are ahead for this team, and that includes this year.
