Great place to watch the Kings in Sac
Kilt Pub...located on Arden and Eastern. It's a very nice, fairly new pub in town (beer and wine only) and they do great food as well. It is a family friendly environment, which is good for the little fans. They have four tv's (3 plasmas and one projector), on game days they usually have the kings on every TV. Kilt Pub currently does drink discounts for every game and they mentioned that appetizer specials are coming soon. Check them out!

Have you watched the Kings play recently?
Not sure promoting Kings games counts as advertising. I kind of assumed they were trying to keep head count lower.
You're going to need strong beer
if you’ve been watching the Kings lately.

or if your location is Arden and Eastern

Maaan, have you been to Carmichael?
I have some friends who live out there, you’re soooo far from everything, and your ‘main streets’ are Fair Oaks, Arden, and Manzanita. Ouch.

I live out there now
It’s not as bad as it seems, Fair Oaks takes you straight to J street and if you know your way around, it’s not to hard to get to the freeways. It’s fairly cheap to live and isn’t too ghetto for the price. It could definitely be much worse

I actually looked to buy my house there
but for commuting reasons, chose a part of Rancho Cordova. The ‘not too bad to get around’ depends alot on what part of Carmichael you’re in. The reality is getting around in Sacramento on a weekday’s pretty tough almost regardless of where you’re starting from and going to.

What I mean is if you know the backstreets you are good to go
However, they have speed-bumped and stop-signed the hell out of everything so it has been a slight bummer in that sense

that’s what I was thinking. If you are gonna go to a bar might as well buy one of the cheap seats and hang out up there.

Plenty of $10 seats tonight vs the Pacers
Think of it as a cover charge for the best Kings bar in town

I ain't payin a cover charge for the best Kings bar in town
also, technically wouldn’t you want to include parking as well?
by wallywagon11 on Jan 18, 2012 2:40 PM PST up reply actions
If you want to get really cheap
I see people parking at those office parking lots and walking. It doesn’t seem that far. Then to pinch pennies even more, buy some tall can’s of MGD (2 for $3) and drink them on the walk.

They seem cool with the beer
I usually have a beer or 2 in the parking lot and the staff doesn’t say anything.
I haven’t tried parking there in the offices so they may crack down on that.

Ya we used to park in the offices but have been told by several people now
that we will get busted for it

how recently is this?
we have parked there for at least 10 games a year each of the last 3 years. including a couple times this year.

People started telling me about it last season
but I don’t know if it was ever followed up on. I just payed for parking because it wasn’t worth the risk of getting towed

can't park in the Comcast parking lot
that’s the one I was warned about. They said they started towing. You can park a little further out like by the pizza place or near the gas station and probably be ok.

If I was in town I’d be there. You guys hoist one for me.
