Did anyone hear JT is gonna start?

JT
Absolutely deserves to start. He always plays with full energy, is productive and runs the offense! Did anybody see him last game pointing out places on the floor for his teammates to go in order to run the offense correctly? Finally, the right person will be out on the court for the right reasons.
Gotta admit.
JT has made tremendous strides as a player. He is making much better decisions and has probably been our most consistent player.
Please cousins get 30 rebounds you can do it I love you!!!!!!!!!

I am glad JT is starting
Mainly, I just think we need him to consistently get 25-28 minutes a game. His offense has been good, his man defense good, but it would be nice to see him rebound at his previous career rate.
I will say, every time I see him interviewed, I am glad he is on our team. Seems like a quality fellow.
I completely agree.
Especially with your last statement. He’s a good guy, and it looks likes he’s always having fun out there. JT and Donte are always look happy, which is a nice change when our two best players are either scowling (Cuz) or just have no emotion (Reke).
Starting lineup:
Tyreke
Thornton
Salmons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UGH
JT
Cousins
Asked if the Kings had any intention of trading Cousins, basketball president Geoff Petrie said, "No."
Nooooooooooo
Salmons starting.
I write suicide note. Not for me. For Sacramento Kings offense.
Dear all,
I find myself inexplicably unable to escape from John Salmons clutches, and it leaves me no choice but to end it all. I am prepared to meet my doom in isolation…
This.

I might as well stab my left eye with a golf pencil
the next time I hear someone complain that players miss when Tyreke passes them the ball. Tyreke’s assist numbers are no more important than anyone else’s stats. We don’t have to sell tickets to his 20-5-5 season anymore.

unfortunately Thompson and Cousins aren’t exactly explosive (to be honest, I like starting JT I just worry this was the one game not to start with that)

i know im just blabbin to entertain myself

Honestly, I'm not impressed with Thornton making 3's until he starts cutting, driving to the land, and drawing fouls, he is limiting the offense.

Not a bad 1st quarter. I can live with that.

I've seen him do it a few times
Usually when he attacks. I’d rather see him shoot a floater on the way up.
I just think he’s still adjusting, but that really makes it harder to score.

I like the fact that we're taking more high percentage shots
Meaning, we’re trying to feed it into the big men more, which I think is a byproduct of better rotations from Smart
Really, I thought he had more.

He has 12 rebounds total
@mr_jasonjones DeMarcus Cousins has a career-high 10 off rebounds, 12 rebs total. Previous best for off rebs was 7
That doesn't sound right to me.

and didn’t see anything on the replay that really begs to differ, plus the refs don’t get the replay

i think JJ's a slightly better rebounder, better FT shooter, more athletic
but worse at everything else… which isnt as good as it sounds, JT really is more valuable to us
I've been waiting for JT to take the next step and it looks like he has.
He dedicated himself in the off season and it shows.
That was a shove?

I might sound crazy
but I honestly don’t think Granger is the same player he used to be (although supposedly super nice)
Back in the day Refs would have given Shaq a cookie for that.

I agree david west is a piece of shit. Making pussy dirty plays to give cousins a T. He can go fuck himself.

33% shooting, but it looked better than that
Need to keep the offense flowing and hope Indiana stays relatively cold in the 2nd half.

these are the kind of first halves that lead to us winning
at least at home…. inspired play, maybe a small deficit, other team not shooting well either…..
kings will step up the pressure and get the W
Yes. We are only down a little bit, but otherwise playing fairly well.
I would think our guys must be feeling pretty good about their play, so far.

Kings dance team kinda scary. I blame the Maloofs for not following quality control procedures.
You would think the Maloofs would have a little more pull than that.
Just recruit some Las Vegas strippers, bam, you have yurself a nice dance team.

7 of 9 FG attempts by Thornton were 3 balls
When your 2 guard and leading scorer does not take it to the basket or draw fouls, you are not going to win a lot of games.
FT's don't matter if you can't hit them. Hopefully it improves in the second half
by Reke_Havoc13 on Jan 18, 2012 8:22 PM PST up reply actions
Thornton's shooting % differential from 3 to 2
is too small to be able to make an argument like that, IMO. If we were talking about Beno, for example, I’d totally agree due to his high percentage mid-range deuce.
With MT23, we will live and die by the triple from the SG position. Not saying that is necessarily a bad thing, but just the reality.

my conclusion
Kings will only have a chance to win this game if they will play these players:
PG – Isiah
SG – Tyreke
SF – Cisco
PF – JT
C – Cuz
Salmons and Thornton IS NOT MAKING THIS TEAM BETTER!

I have a funny story..
I used to talk to one of Tyrekes friends on youtube… he would post videos of him and Tyreke and I would message him and he would message back…Id ask him what they were up to and how Tyreke is doing, etc… he was cool with me… but… one day I asked him if he could get tyreke to send a signed card to my home address..
he never answered and never replied again lol

"When talent is roughly equal," said Westphal, "the competitive guys win. You have to have that in this league. Here's a perfect example: We (the Phoenix Suns) drafted Tim Perry and Dan Majerle the same year (1988). Now, if you get a stopwatch for down and back (baseline to baseline sprint), Tim Perry was faster than Dan Majerle. That's a fact. But if you had them race, Dan Majerle won. I can't explain it. Somehow, he had that drive, that fire, something inside him. If you have enough guys like that, your team starts winning again."
