Reminder: 'Small Market, Big Heart' Documentary On Kings To Air At 4 P.M.
A reminder: FOX 40 will broadcast the documentary Small Market, Big Heart today at 4 p.m. Pacific. SMBH documents the Kings' stay in Sacramento to date and the fans' and community's work to keep them.
Small Market, Big Heart premiered in Sacramento at the Crest Theatre earlier this month to flawless reviews. Produced by Friends of StR James Ham and Blake Ellington and directed by Tobin Halsey, the doc is entirely a local affair and includes archived footage of early Kings games and interviews with Marcos Breton, Jerry Reynolds, Kevin Johnson, Grant Napear and more.
The doc will air on FOX 40 from 4-5:30 on Saturday. The Kings play Memphis on Saturday at 5, but this is why Al Gore invented the DVR. We'll have an open thread for SMBH, and then normal game threads for Kings-Grizzlies.
Future screenings at area theatres and a DVD release of the documentary are in the works. As we well know, the fight to keep the Kings and get an arena built is still cranking on. Stay tuned in the next few days for info on a Here We Stay/Sactown Royalty Night at the arena.

Can't find it anywhere
On comcast in Chico area. Does anybody know if there’s a way to view it in Chico? Dying to see it!
Unfortunately
We get Fox 2 (KCVU). Think we’re out of luck up here for now it seems. If anybody knows anything to the contrary please let me know. Thanks.

Thank heavens for TIVO

living in the napa area, any idea on what channel?
Hey guys, I am living in the napa valley and really want to see the Doc. any idea on what channel i need for tonight’s showing?
Only the local Sacramento based Fox 40 will carry the movie today.
Sorry if you aren’t in the area, I suggest driving this way and finding a spot with a TV. We are working to get this shown on a platform that extends beyond Sacramento, but first we had to fulfill this commitment. As we work through deals, I will update everyone on future showings.
For today, we are excited that a large audience will get a chance to see our film. It’s not often that a documentary gets played on a major network station and we are proud to share the film with all of you that can carve out 90 minutes of your day.

Just finished last night on DVR
Great stuff and amazing to see the journey this has taken so far.
BTW, loved the quick glimpse of 1980’s Peaches in the doc. He looks like Johnny from the Karate Kid movies, real meathead-looking with feathered heair.
