Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reports that Marcus Thornton, who left the Sacramento Kings' blowout loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, will miss the team's Monday game against the Portland Trail Blazers. Thornton had missed three games with a thigh contusion, but returned roughly a week ago. On Friday against the San Antonio Spurs, Thornton reaggravated the injury. He was able to stay in the game and tried to go on Saturday, but the leg ended up tightening up too much. It seems as if he might miss a bit of time to recover fully, which isn't great news for a Kings roster trying to squeeze out some consistency.
Jones reports that John Salmons will be back in action after missing Saturday's game with food poisoning. Salmons was hospitalized in Memphis on Saturday and just caught up with the team in Portland on Sunday.
The Kings play the Blazers at 7 p.m. Pacific on Monday.
