Chuck Hayes' Status Unknown After Apparent Injury Aggravation In Jazz Loss
Chuck Hayes left the Sacramento Kings' loss to the Utah Jazz with four seconds after committing an intentional foul with the Kings down three. He tried to wrap up the opponent with his right arm -- it was his left shoulder that was separated and that remains in a stabilizing wrap -- and seems to aggravated something in his shoulder.
Jason Jones reports that Hayes' status will be known today as the club is back in Sacramento for a rare practice. He wasn't wearing a sling as the Kings left the arena.
Hayes didn't score in 20 minutes, but did have eight rebounds and two steals in his first game back. He'd missed 11 games after injuring his shoulder against the Milwaukee Bucks on January 5.

I'm still bummed after that loss
Almost feels like a playoff loss to me. Jimmer air-balls what would have been a story book game winner and Hayes has the quickest return from injury-injured again sequence I can ever recall seeing.
So What You're Saying is....He's not yet this guy?

I am a bit muffed
Who is allowing guys like Hayes and Thornton to come back so quickly that they both are out again!?
It’s fairly apparent this team isn’t going anywhere this season, so why rush guys back!?
Just makes me feel like the Kings Medical Staff is as much a laughing stock as the team is right now.
The endless pounding.
A hole, blacker than despair.
John Salmons is back.

I got muffed once
but StR will not allow me to talk about it
35 and 31. I'm calling it now. Reke and Cousins 1-2 in most improved award both All-stars. Jimmer leads rookies in scoring, passing and Ole's. Make 2nd round of playoffs and Salmons is not here by seasons end.
That's muffed up!

Asked if the Kings had any intention of trading Cousins, basketball president Geoff Petrie said, "No."
Time for Whiteside?
He didn’t play yesterday and was listed as DNP coaches decision. Maybe the Kings are planning to send him back up? He’s put up decent numbers, especially blocked shots. If Hayes is down for awhile, I wouldn’t mind seeing Hassan get a few minutes to see what he can do.
El Ron can name that tune in one note.

Isn't he in the D-League right now?
We’ll have to call him up and then play him

Interesting enough he hasn't played in 10 days and missed 2 games do to Coaches Decision
In the first game he is listed as DNP-CD, but in the last game he is listed as Did Not Dress-Coaches Decision. I’m wondering if he had a problem and this is punishment, or if the Kings wanted him to sit and be ready to return in the case Hayes’ injury didn’t recover on schedule. The 2 games he missed were on the road in Springfield, MA. and Portland, ME.
Reno only plays 3 games per week over the next 3 weeks, and then they only play 1 game in the last 11 days of February and the first 2 days of March. The last and first games in that stretch are at home, if he came back at the All-Star Break he could practice with the team while Cuz is playing in the Rookie/Soph Game. So, he’d only miss one game over those 13 days.
