- Kyrie Irving scored 20 points on 8-10 shooting and added 6 assists with no turnovers as the Cavaliers defeated the Bobcats 115-101 in Cleveland. Tristan Thompson added 16 and 9 for the Cavs in 24 minutes off the bench, as Cleveland improved to 3-2. D.J. Augustin scored 26 for Charlotte, adding 9 assists against 4 turnovers, while Kemba Walker scored 2 points on 1-6 floor in 13 bench minutes. The Bobcats drop to 1-4.
- Portland went into Oklahoma City and came away with a 103-93 victory. The 4-1 Blazers were led by LaMarcus Aldridge's 30 points, while Gerald Wallace added a 13/10 double double. Kevin Durant was 8-26 field (1-7 from 3) on his way to 19 points, while James Harden added a tidy 23 point, 4 rebound, 6 assist (3 turnover), 3 steal performance. The Thunder drop to 5-2 and suffer their first home loss of the season.
- The Chicago Bulls trailed the Atlanta Hawks 23-15 after the 1st quarter of play in Atlanta. They trailed at the half 38-26(!). They trailed at the end of the 3rd quarter 56-42(!!!). And they outscored the Hawks 34-18 in the 4th to come away with a 76-74 victory. The 5-1 Bulls received an Iverson-esque game from Derrick Rose: 30 points on 8-22 shooting but 11-13 line, with 7 assists against 2 turnovers. Joe Johnson was 3-17 field for the Hawks (2-9 from 3) for 10 points. The Bulls shot 34% from the field for the night, while the 4-2 Hawks shot 35%.
- The Utah Jazz moved to 3-3 with a 85-73 home win over the 2-3 Milwaukee Bucks. The interior big three for Utah was dominant. Al Jefferson (26/10) and Paul Millsap (13/12) both posted double doubles, and Derrick Favors added 5 blocks in 20 bench minutes. Combined, the three scored 45 points on 19-29 floor, grabbed 29 rebounds and blocked 9 shots, plus 5 steals. Meanwhile, the Bucks shot 31% from the field (23% if you back out Drew Gooden's 12-20, 24 point performance - Gooden also added 12 boards). Captain Jack was 5-17 field (1-7 from 3), Brandon Jennings was 4-19 (0-4 from 3) and Carlos Delfino was a perfect 0-7 (0-4 from 3). All told, the Bucks were 2-21 from deep, so be sure to remember that when they are knocking down everything on Thursday.
