It's Isiah time!
Starting Five: 2nd group:
PG - Isiah Thomas PG Jimmer Fredette
SG - Tyreke Evans SG Marcus Thorton
SF - John Salmons SF Travis Outlaw
PF - DMC PF JJ Hickson
C - Chuck Hayes C Jason Thompson
Swing Tyreke down to the 3 when the first guard comes in. Rotate the guards through. Rotate the big men through. Make minor adjustments. Set it and forget it!
Isiah creates a lot of space! You could also insert him and drop Tyreke down to the 3 leaving Salmons on the bench. Bottom line, and I realize it's early, but the first group isn't executing PW's offense with any fluidity. I saw the the 2nd group tonight have some success with the high pick. I started to see the offense running more smoothly. I started to see what it's capable of once we find the guys that execute it the best. It looks more mercurial than precise and I can appreciate some of the comments/issues from the players.
So, Isiah?
Thoughts?

Crazy talk
Dude is 50 years old. On the other hand, he could still be an improvement…

He'd be popular with the Kings Dancers.
I say give him a shot.
Always put your right shoe on first, because if you put your left shoe on first then your right shoe will be left...and you will have two left shoes.
I Think i would rather see it like this if you are bringing Isaiah in
Starting Five/Bench
PG – Isiah Thomas / Jimmer Fredette
SG – Marcus Thorton / Francisco Garcia
SF -Tyreke Evans / John Salmons/ Donte Green
PF – Chuck Hayes / JJ Hickson
C – DMC / Jason Thompson

Yeah i thought about switching Salmons and Francisco off the bench, but you could always switch them out between Off and Def. My only concern here is
A: Do we have enough defense at the 1/2 position: I say yes because while Isaiah is small, he is very tenacious. Tyreke is a decent defender as long as he gets back down the floor.
b: My other option was to bring Hayes off the Bench and start JT with DMC due to most opposing teams killing us on rebounds and tip ins, and I think that somewhere where Hayes is a concern, not being able to overpower people under the basket..You have 2 Hybrid guys in JT and DMC, vs Hickson (off only) and Hayes (Def only). and i am not seeing it working between DMC and Hayes. Perhaps this is a coaching issue, or perhaps DMC and Hayes just cant get it done at same time..DMC worked pretty well with a def/rbdr in Dalembert, because Sammy knew how to box out under the basket really well and with his frame, guys weren’t just reaching up and over him for rebounds..

I like what you did, but can i make a small tweak?
Your Starting Five/Bench
PG – Isiah Thomas / Jimmer Fredette
SG – Marcus Thorton / Francisco Garcia
SF -Tyreke Evans / John Salmons/ Donte Green
PF – Chuck Hayes / JJ Hickson
C – DMC / Jason Thompson
Mine
Starting Five/Bench
PG – Isaiah Thomas / Jimmer Fredette
SG – Marcus Thorton / Francisco Garcia
SF -Tyreke Evans / John Salmons/ Donte Green
PF – JJ Hickson / Jason Thompson
C – Chuck Hayes/ DMC / Jason Thompson
I think this way you get the height and athleticism in starting JJ at the PF and Chuck keeping big men out the paint. the problem I have been noticing is that DMC cant get off the floor to dominate the glass where JJ and even JT can.
No, I never said "Hey sweetheart I'm Rookie of the Year." I told her "I'm Tyreke Evans" though............Tyreke Evans

Looks good
But I’d probably start Thornton at SF in place of Salmons, or Evans at SF and start Thornton at SG.
I suppose the question is,
was last night’s garbage time effort indicative of Thomas’ play, or was the debacle in Portland against front line talent a better indication? To be fair, Thomas was effective against the Lakers, too.
I am very excited about Thomas as a bench spark, and am amazed at this potential for contribution given that he was the #60 pick(!). But starting PG? He is the 4th best guard on this team. He is not an NBA-caliber starting point guard, in my opinion.

I see Reke and Thornton as better, but isn’t Jimmer just as questionable
I mean Isaiah is a better defender, Quicker, has more rebounds, better assist rate, and doesn’t look nearly as lost on the floor right now. Now for some per 36 stats
Thomas / Jimmer
MP 55 / 150
FG% .318 / .397
3P% .444 / .360
FT% .789 / .857
TRB 6.5 / 1.9
AST 4.6 / 3.6
STL 1.3 / .7
BLK .7 / 0
TOV 2 / 2.6
PF 1.3 / 1.7
PTS 21.6 / 14.6
And yes i know, I know small sample size, but still..I would rather have a true PG out there, who knows how to distribute ball, is a better defender, and can run a fast break. Also doesn’t help that he is always the first guy back on defense,,I can see him helping keep guys from getting the paint like we have had so much of an issue with..Don’t get me wrong, I think Jimmer will be better in the long run, but right now this teams needs a true shot in the arm and I would rather have Isaiah/Garcia on the floor then any of these guys: Jimmer, Outlaw, Donte, Salmons (Yes Salmons is great on defense, but is still a black hole IMO on offense). I also see Isaiah with his drive to the baskets, more willing to pull double teams and leaving guys open on the floor like Thornton and DMC.

Nobody really knows if he would be worthy of starting at PG for Sacramento, but I think he’s at least worth a try for one game to see how it goes. There isn’t anybody claiming the PG spot right now, so it’s not like he’d be playing PG instead of a superior player who plays that position. Salmons hasn’t played very well in my opinion, so if he is removed from the lineup and replaced with Thomas then Tyreke could play SF and Thornton SG. From what I’ve seen from this season, Isaiah is better on defense than Fredette certainly and I’d prefer him on offense in this ‘offensive system’.
