Kings vs. Lakers: Teams meet again in Los Angeles

Stay connected for news and updates

Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE

The Kings got the best of the Lakers on Friday in Las Vegas. Dwight Howard might make his debut on Sunday.

The Kings and Lakers will hook up for the second of three games this postseason on Sunday in Los Angeles. The game is set to tip at 6:30 p.m. and will be carried on NBA TV.

The Kings beat the Lakers on Friday behind DeMarcus Cousins and the bench duo of Tyreke Evans and Jimmer Fredette. But Dwight Howard still hasn't gotten onto the court for the Lakers -- that could happen on Sunday, though it's less certain that it was two days ago. (He can stay out until March, fine by me.) The Lakers are 0-5 on the preseason, and have games against the Suns and Kings next week. The Kings are 3-1, also with games against the Suns and Lakers.

No word on whether Keith Smart will continue to experiment with line-ups or begin tuning up his projected starting five. The regular season begins on October 31 in Chicago.

We'll have a game thread at 6:30.
