Kelley L Cox-US PRESSWIRE
The Kings, fresh off of a win over the Warriors, host the 0-4 Pistons on Wednesday. Oh God, I'm already nervous.
The Sacramento Kings continue their home stand on Wednesday with their best chance for another win coming in the form of the 0-4 Detroit Pistons. Not only are the Pistons looking pretty terrible, but they played in Denver last night (pretty much the worst circumstances ahead of a road game). Wednesday's game is the fourth of a six-game road trip Detroit; they've lost to the Suns and Lakers in addition to the Nuggets, and hosted James Harden's "hello!" moment on opening night.
The game is at 7 p.m. on Comcast Sports Net and 1140 AM.
The Kings beat a Warriors team that is better than the Pistons on Monday, so you'd think this one would be a reasonable W. But Detroit has Greg Monroe and super athletic Andre Drummond, plus a couple of veteran wings in Tayshaun Prince and Rodney Stuckey. Frankly, the Kings need to play as hard as possible to beat any team in the NBA -- there's little margin of error. They can win big if they play up to their talent on both ends of the ball. This could potentially be a reassuring defensive night and maybe a breakout game for the struggling offense.
We'll have your game thread at 7 p.m. in this stream and in the cover.
