Final Score: Kings Collapse, Fall to Suns 101 to 90

StR Editor Kfipp betrayed us with his excellent performance tonight - USA TODAY Sports

Sacramento opened up a 19 point lead in the first half, but saw it quickly disappear in the second as Shannon Brown and Luis Scola led the Suns back.

One day after getting blown out by the Denver Nuggets on their home floor, the Sacramento Kings found a new way to lose, letting a 19 point first half lead disappear and eventually losing 101 to 90, a 30 point turnaround.

Sacramento took control of the game in the second quarter thanks to some quality play from their bench unit, particularly Jimmer Fredette and Isaiah Thomas. At the half, Fredette led the game in points with 12 and ended up finishing the game with a career-high 22 points in just 22 minutes.

The Kings starters were absolutely abysmal, particularly DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins shot just 1-10 from the field en route to 9 points, 10 rebounds, 3 turnovers and 4 fouls. Marcin Gortat completely owned him in the low post, and Cuz had his shot blocked 4 times.

Phoenix meanwhile saw huge contributions from their own starters. Shannon Brown was the big catalyst for the comeback, scoring 22 points on 10-13 shooting. Tyreke Evans' defense was sorely missed there. Jared Dudley also chipped in 20 points, including 4 three pointers. Luis Scola finished with a double-double, but not one you'd expect; He had 14 points and a career-high 10 assists. Marcin Gortat finished with 14 points, 13 rebounds and 6 blocks.

This is the fifth straight loss for Sacramento, now 7-17. They face the super hot Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, fresh off a 6-1 road trip.
