US PRESSWIRE
The Kings try not to lose by many, many points to the streaking Clippers.
The Sacramento Kings held off the Golden State Warriors at home Wednesday to end a five-game losing streak. Next up: back to L.A. to take on the Clippers, who last beat the Kings by 35 a few weeks back. Good times!
That Clippers win back on December 1 was the second in a still-running 11-game winning streak. Seven of those 11 wins have been in double digits. Chris Paul and Blake Griffin have been getting plenty of rest, averaging 30 minutes a game over the streak. The Clips are 11-3 at home overall.
That Kings win on Wednesday featured lots of excellent offense from Aaron Brooks, DeMarcus Cousins, Marcus Thornton, Isaiah Thomas, Jimmer Fredette ... and pretty much the entire Warriors team, too. The Clippers will likely resist the Kings' scoring ways better and are better than Golden State on offense, so. You know. Awesome.
The game is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Pacific on Comcast SportsNet California and 1140 AM. Game thread will be along then, with a recap to follow. Fan predictions soon.
