Warren Harris, the city's director of economic development, said the project is at a "very critical" stage as it relates to the team. "They're trying to get an indication of where the city is in terms of a nonbinding arrangement on this deal structure we're working on."
It calls for $241 million in city money, $150 million in state money and $35 million from Comcast-Spectacor to build the arena and relocate the team. Comcast would lease and operate the arena for 25 years.
