Final score: Kings top Raptors 107-100 behind Evans' clutch threes

Kelley L Cox - US PRESSWIRE

Tyreke Evans came back from a two game absence to have yet another big game, including two clutch three pointers to seal the deal.

First off, I'd like to apologize for the lateness of both this final score recap and for the game thread. I don't know what happened with the game thread, and as for the recap, I didn't come home from the game until very late and my phone was dead so I couldn't notify my fellow editors. Fortunately everything is alright because the Kings won!

Tyreke Evans came back from a two-game absence in a big way, scoring 23 points, 10 of which came in the crucial final quarter. With the game tied at 95 with just over two minutes remaining, Evans made two consecutive three pointers from the same spot to give the Kings a six point lead that ended up being enough to hold off the Raptors.

All the Kings starters finished in double digit scoring, led by Evans and DeMarcus Cousins. Cousins had 25 points and 13 rebounds on 11-18 shooting from the field, one of his better performances this season. Jason Thompson also had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds. John Salmons also had a big night, scoring 12 points on 4-7 shooting and dishing out 7 assists, which ties the team's season high for single game assists. Aaron Brooks shot just 2-8 from the field but was able to get to the line for 8 FTA and finish with 11 points and 4 assists. The Kings as a team had a very rare game in which they shot more free throws (34) than the other team (28).

In Fredette-Thomas roulette, it was Fredette who got the call tonight and he scored 7 points in 12 minutes. Thomas did not play at all. Sixth man Marcus Thornton had a very rough night, scoring just 3 points on 1-7 shooting in 17 minutes.

For Toronto, they were led by a big game from Point Guard Kyle Lowry, who scored 34 points (including 4 threes) and dished out 11 assists. Mickael Pietrus chipped in 21 points, DeMar Derozan 14, and Ed Davis had a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Sacramento is now 5-12 on the year, with all wins coming at home. They have the opportunity to go .500 at home on Friday when Orlando comes into town. After that the schedule will become very road heavy, so it's important for the Kings to win games like this one.

Nostradumbass of the Night was Gabraham with 8 points.

Final - 12.5.2012 1 2 3 4 Total
