Sacramento City Council mostly likely to pass measure to privatize parking assets
"I think we'll get it done," council member Jay Schenirer said. Based on past votes and public comments, most assume "yes" votes will be cast by Angelique Ashby, Steve Cohn and Rob Fong. Mayor Kevin Johnson and Schenirer said they would vote "yes" to request bids for monetization, which makes up the majority of the nine member council.

Makes sense Cohn will vote yes
He wants all info before making a decision. Smart man.
35 and 31. I'm calling it now. Reke and Cousins 1-2 in most improved award both All-stars. Jimmer leads rookies in scoring, passing and Ole's. Make 2nd round of playoffs and Salmons is not here by seasons end.
I wish the other councilmembers would think that way too
Ugh. politics suck.

yeah
as is the title. mostly likely? come on.
but at least we can be fairly confident we’ve got the slim majority. come to think of it, we kind of knew that too.

Yeah
I just question whether the author really understands what is going on. Because not only does it sound like he thinks the measure on the 14th not only is a vote to request for bids to monetize the parking but also that it will also privatize the city’s parking. I dunno, seems muddled. And on top of that he then starts writing about how Feb. 28th will be we see “those numbers” but it also reads like he is referring to the totals of the Maloofs, NBA, and AEG are putting into the project and not what we are selling the parking for.
Basically, it reads like Nick Monacelli is confused.

Is it possible that more firm numbers will be released at that point in order to strengthen the argument for the lease agreement? I mean his words are pretty clear that that is what we’ll see, so he is either flat wrong or he knows a bit more about the upcoming meeting. All I found on the SCC website was the agenda for tuesday.
