WILSON CHANDLER! PLEASE!!!
GEOFF PETRIE!!!!! PLEASE GO AFTER WILSON CHANDLER. HE STEPS OFF AIRCHINA NEXT WEEK! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE GET US AN ACTUAL SMALL FORWARD AND BENCH SALMONS!!!
We missed the boat on Caron Butler, Kenyon Martin, and David West as far as I am concerned (as impractical a statement that may be given the other teams involved in those deals), but I feel we have a legitimate chance at landing this guy. He brings consistency, blocks, field goals, hustle, and is a big mofo. PLEASE LAND THIS DUDE FOR US! He averaged something like 27 and 12 the last 6 months and is coming of a 17 and 6, with 1.5 block NBA year. PICK HIM UP PETRIE!!!!
Ok, I am done yelling.

He's going to the Nuggets
From ESPN Mark Stein
Denver Nuggets restricted free agent Wilson Chandler is scheduled to return to the United States from China sooner than expected, according to sources close to the situation, with next week as his target. It remains unclear, though, how quickly Chandler will be allowed to follow through on his stated intention to re-sign with the Nuggets even if he does leave China in the next few days.

As a RFA
He’ll have his choice where he wants to go,with Den the right to match any offer.Which doesn’t really matter when he wants to go to Den!He just won’t accept any offers except Den’s.
Would be a great pickup if he did pick us though,I just doubt it!
Just dreaming...
I think any movement at this point would make me happy. If we could somehow snag Kaman and Chandler I would be in heaven. Think the time has come and gone now though and with Big G out on Denver, they will re-sign him for sure

I stand in agreement in Jesus name!
The bible says where two or more are gathered together anything you ask in his name shall be given to us, so i agree that Kings pick up Wilson Chandler in Jesus name amen!
How's that working out for you?

It must needs be a righteous desire methinks.

I'd rather keep the salary space
…and make a run at taking a better player on via trade. After all the acquisition clauses expire on March 1, there could be a lot of movement going on. It will, in my opinion, be split entirely between deals by non-playoff teams like NOH, CHA, SAC, PHX, etc. and those with major pieces looking to take a next step or avoid being left with nothing from opt-outs. ORL, MIN, ATL, BOS all fit that bill. Somewhere in there, we could stand to pick up a player from a team looking to dump salary, especially if we don’t mind cutting into that $9.6m cap of ours.

Make him an offer
Doesn’t Denver have enough SF’s?

We'd have to overpay
but we are currently paying $12m/year to the great Salmons/Outlaw combo. Give him $/year and amnesty Salmons next season.
Oh wait, can’t do that, we have broke ass owners…
$9-10M for Wilson Chandler?
Is that the price of desperation these days?

would you rather have
Wilson Chandler at $9-$10/year or
Salmons/Outlaw at $12/year?
Yes I’m desperate. Sometimes it’s worth overpaying. You can see how trying to be bargain hunters and not overpaying a legit SF worked out…
why mortgage part of your future on Wilson Chandler?
I would rather have the Kings play Greene and Honeycutt the remaining 34 games and see what the upcoming lottery brings. If you want to pay Chandler $9M then I am sure he would love to have the money.
As for Salmons – he his having a career worst season. If you amnesty him you lose out and still pay him, same for Outlaw. There is no advantage in amnesty for him, the kings are already at the cap floor. If you want to weep more, add Garcia for $6M to the SF cesspool.

If Rudy Gay can get 5 years 84 million deal (max)
theres no reason we should be paying Chandler anything less than 4 years 50 million easy.
He's already went to Toronto to talk to them.
Why haven’t we heard anything about him talking to Sacramento? Petrie sitting on his hands again?
