Definitely will be interesting to monitor the Maloof rhetoric over the next week or so.
They’re not going to be able to just stick by the soft “We’re committed to making it work in Sacramento” line now that we’re dealing with term sheets and tens of millions of upfront dollars. I think you could add Stern to the middle of that cartoon at this point, at least until this weekend. Hopefully we’ll get something firm from Stern before Tuesday that he’s fully on board with KJ and his plan. From there, the Maloofs are on the clock to make it work and stay, make it work and go (sell), or push the red button and take us right back where we were a year ago.

If Stern is onboard with the plan...
I don’t think the Malinda’s have the red button option anymore at that point.

I feel like they could still make it ugly as hell at that point, if they want.
As in, Stern comes out in support of the plan and the Maloofs come out and say it’s no good and they’ll have to file for relocation if the terms aren’t changed significantly in their favor, then they ask Samueli if he’s still down to loan them $75 mil or more to cover the cost of the move, Stern warns them to play nice or lawyer up, and the great Maloof/Samueli vs.Buss/Sterling battle royale begins all over again.

They didn't win last year's bout
I have no idea how they think they could win in this year’s rematch. If the NBA endorses the terms of the ESC, the odds are stacked extremely heavily against them.

This artist needs to brush up on his realism.
Those Ed Hardy tshirts look nothing like the real thing.

love how the script has been flipped on the whole situation
KJ is on a clear path to go down as one of the most beloved figures in Sacramento sports history

Not bad for a guy who never put on a Kings uniform and scored a point.
When the arena gets built they otta hang his old Suns jersey up in the rafters.

He's scoring a lot of points in my book.
"Should he just be renamed Player of the Week?" HeuristicLineup on Cousins.
I got my Johnson '11 Jersey
Before they were cool. 11 for the year he stopped the kings from moving.
Adoptive father of Caleb Hous.... hous... housyourdaddy?
I got one too, same number
The day the Maloofs said they were staying in Sac. May 2nd, I believe. I grabbed it and a few other things right after their announcement and the kings team store still had everything at half off. Suckers!!!
