A Funny Story

This is my first ever fanpost and there really is no point to it, but I wanted to put this story somewhere that my fellow Kings fans could appreciate it.

So here is a quick catch up on my life; born and raised in Antelope, die hard Kings fan (of course) and we had season tickets until I was 16. When I graduated highschool in 2009 I left the area and started going to San Diego State where I became a die hard Aztec fan.

Now the story; I am of course down in San Diego because it is that time of year where the professors love to torture the hell out of us students. On Friday the 24th I went with a couple of my roommates to grab lunch at Phil's BBQ, which is a very popular BBQ spot in San Diego that has a line out the door at almost all hours of the day. While we were waiting in line a very short, nice looking old man with his wife walked past us. Now this short nice looking old man looked a lot like our very own Gary Gerould. I just stared at him as he went past and decided not to say anything because I thought, "Why would Gary Gerould be in San Diego?" Of course I obviously wasn't thinking, "This is San Diego, why wouldn't he be here during his All Star break?" because I later saw GG's Twitter feed and it turns out he was in La Jolla, so I had to ask if it was him and he replied back;

@LLcoolRay14 That was me at Phil's ... Rocking the Ribs!!

So I just thought it was pretty hilarious that while I'm in San Diego I unexpectedly run into a guy I have been listening to during Kings games my whole life. Moral of the story is that it turns out this is a pretty small world.
