Doubling Down and 'Showing Up'

Our work is not yet done

Not yet!

Next week, a week from today on Tuesday night March 6th at 6pm at City Hall, it’s important that all Kings fans – and Sacramento fans who believe as I do that the building of the new ESC is so much bigger to our City than just the Kings, to attend the most important vote in decades at the City Council meeting.

If there was ever a time to arrange your schedule, an evening of your life for just one night for something you care about – THIS is the night!

Let’s Rock the House one more time!

We don’t want the meeting just to be full, we don’t want standing room only, we want the lobby and the walkway crowded with those who couldn’t get a seat but gathered to show their support regardless!

(Sitting in the meeting itself isn’t that interesting anyway :-)

There is an axiom in politics which I’m certain every member of the council is aware of: ‘Policy is made by those who Show Up’

You see, what they know is that people who ‘show up’ also show up to vote. Those who ‘show up’ talk to friends and family and have a multiplying effect well beyond themselves. Politicians want those who show up to be allies not opponents.

Politicians also unfortunately sometimes need political cover to vote their damn consciences!

Believe it, just one night, one time can sometimes make a difference – especially on the City level of politics.

I can't describe how stunned some of them looked when we showed up in such force two weeks ago - they were wiiiide eyed. Let's win this one walking away.

See you there Kings Fans!

'Whether 'tis Nobler in the mind to suffer the Slings and Arrows of outrageous Fortune, or to take Arms against a Sea of Troubles, and by opposing - END THEM'.

(Hamlet ya dummies :-)
