Smart is a good coach.
Put he is really shit with lineups, and he has no sense of end of game situations. If you don’t have Kobe or Wade, you call a timeout when you get the rebound.

Donte played excellent D and slowed down Beasley a ton. Hickson had 8 points on 4-6 shots to go along with 11 boards, 1 block and a steal in 26 minutes. I will take that production of the bench any night.

I think it will probably equal out soon. But for now at least in the east the 7-8 spots will always be open to the highest bidder. in the west fighting for the 8th spot can be a team like the grizzlies or mavs or even jazz. Its so tough.

Well I can't wade through the complaints to see real posts so

In my humble opinion, although disappointed like all of you, we played a good game and had a chance to win with DMC and JT in foul trouble all game, and Reke and IT not doing much…If I told you that would happen before the game it would be an assumed 10+ point loss. Don’t get me wrong, Kings should have won this game had they not been in a coma for 3 quarters, but that missed goaltend, Peko playing bull in a china shop, ticky tack inconsistancies…. refs should be held to some degree of culpability if they screw a game up. Be hit fines, suspensions, whatever.
As it is now, they can cost a team a game (tonight’s goaltend) and just shrug their shoulders and say oh well, while if Coach says anything about it in post game, he gets fined.

I liked the comeback
and the Jimmer Barrage. And the fact that we were in a position to win even if our stars (except MT) were not as good as we know they are and that we were not only against the T-Wolves but also against the Zebras (effin refs). Looking forward to beating OKC.

but at the last possession, I may have preferred to have Reke attack the basket and either get fouled or get one of his amazing layups or pass to one of our shooters. MT bringing the ball down didn’t get too much of a result but hey we had a good shot to win or tie it.
Part of Growing pains... it will take a while!

Even worse than the missed goaltending call
was the no call on the charge on Williams when he threw his shoulder into Cousins and then got an easy layup while Cousins laid under the basket. That was at a crucial part of the game and I feel like it really deflated the Kings.
Even if it wasn't a foul on either player
it was at least a travel since jump up and down without anyone else touching the ball.
Good fight
Going from New Orleans last night to Minnesota tonight had to have been somewhat taxing (especially considering the energy expended in the comeback against the Hornets). To try and pull another comeback with the refs calling a sketchy game on top of it was always going to be tough. That said, the guys put their heads down and went to work and almost pulled it out in the end. That is not something which would have happened earlier this season. Good signs.

execution is still lacking
at times and that can be frustrating, but it is encouraging that they are fighting through issues (off nights, large deficits, foul trouble, officiating, etc.) which would have killed them off in the past. Belief and confidence can grow out of these sorts of games as opposed to 30-point blow out losses.

He scored, what, 13 in the 4th tonight? A week or so ago, he scored 15 with 6 assists (all in the 2nd quarter). That doesn’t happen by accident. These are not garbage-time stats. Jimmer is clearly still inconsistent, and is still figuring things out. However, when he gets there, look out. He will make some serious noise in his career.
