Council narrowly rejects placing parking lease plan on ballot
5-4. One swing vote away from this deal being killed, for all intents and purposes. This was a lot closer then I, and probably most of us, thought it would be. Let it be a reminder to not let up now. We need to make sure we flood the inboxes of the councilmembers let them know how much going forward with the ESC means to our city, and pack city hall on 2/14 for the big vote.

It was a close call
Too close for my taste. Tuesday just got even bigger. If there was a night to show up to council meetings it is definitely Tuesday.

yeah, I agree.
It sure did. I think sometimes it can be easy to assume we know how a councilmember will vote based on previous votes, but tonight proved contrary. It’s time to step up our game.
The small town-minded negative Nancys would have lost their mind if if it was a 9-0 vote
It’s better this way & wouldn’t surprise me if it was planned. This is government we’re talking about here.
