The Sacramento City Council has voted 7-2 to approve a funding plan to build a new entertainment and sports complex at the Railyards site downtown. A year ago, we were -- no joke -- pretty close to positive that we would lose our team. Years of political cowardice and disinterest, a weak will to find creative solutions to build a future here from the owners and little help from the community that supports the ideals that this project will allow to thrive in Sacramento ... all of those were beaten tonight.
