Anaheim officials said they are not communicating with the NBA at this point but remain ready for and optimistic that they'll get an NBA team. Councilwoman Lorri Galloway said she had spoken recently with Kings’ co-owner George Maloof, and "I personally reminded him that Anaheim wouldn’t charge any pre-development fees."
