To anyone who thought last summer/fall's lockout was a historic low, this week has seen the sleaziest, most underhanded moment in NBA ownership in recent NBA history (please excuse my Captain Obvious imitation). And to anybody who thought it would never get worse than Clay Bennett and SonicsGate, the hitherto-unnamed owners of the Kings have conducted the most transparent act of double-crossing by a professional sports owner in the last decade. These men are literally doing anything in their power to try to destroy basketball in one of the most devoted (albeit average to below-average in size) markets the country has to offer. Not only are they attempting to ruin their own franchise's future in Sacramento, they are also at the same time trying to ruin any future opportunity for the city to be able to support the NBA.

As a die-hard basketball fan, even though I have no vested interest in the Kings whatsoever (as evidenced by my username), I wanted to take the time to say that this is unacceptable. And must be stopped.

I just wanted to create a thread here to let you guys know that fans all around the league, not just Sacramento, know just how wonderful the Kings fans are, and to know that we are with you in saying the hitherto-unnamed owners of the Kings must be stopped. Some of my favorite experiences as an NBA fan have come at Arco Arena, and even as a fan of the team that I assume is the Kings' biggest rival, I can say that fans in Sacramento are among the most knowledgable, and hardcore (while keeping everything perfectly within the line) fans out there. And we as basketball fans are with you.

For anybody that reads this that is also a fan of another team, please post here to let Kings fans know that all basketball fans are behind them during this difficult time. Feel free to shout out which team you support (hopefully we get something from fans of every team), but please remember that this thread is to show that WE AS BASKETBALL FANS SUPPORT THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO AND WE SUPPORT THE KINGS IN THE CITY OF SACRAMENTO.

Also, to Kings fans, if anybody has one, it would be very helpful if someone could compile a list of ALL Maloof-associated businesses. This can be shared so that I and other fans who are not as in tune with the finer details of the situation can be aware of just what companies help the Maloofs make money. And so those businesses can be avoided as to bankrupt those jackasses. Thanks for your time.
