It is the end of another season, a bitter-sweet one for me and many of you. It is bitter because our dreams for a new arena with the Kings has essentially been dashed, but sweet because at least that chapter has ended making way for something new and hopefully sweeter in the future.

First of all, I want to apologize to any of you whom I may have offended, either intentionally or unintentionally. I hold no personal animosity to anyone here. None, zip, nada. If you hold one toward me, I am sorry for that. I hope there will not be any lasting grudges and allow a new chapter to unfold with a clean slate.

I have decided to change my avatar. I loved the photoshop one of Cousins as Yoda and want to thank ExG for allowing me to use it. I decided to use a female, well, because I am a female. I feel as though I am an outlier, being female and significantly older than most of you are here. I often feel as though I am a square peg trying to fit into a round hole. (Pause)

I want to thank everyone who responded to any of my fanposts or comments. I think anyone who spends anytime posting comments in this community, learns that the feedback touches you personally. There is some vulnerability just to put yourself out there. Feelings can and do get hurt. I know mine have, so I’m pretty sure some of yours have, as well. An apology by someone who inadvertently hurt my feelings was one of the most touching moments I have had posting comments here.

This is a difficult format to communicate feelings and intentions, because we are not face-to-face. We can not read each one's facial expressions or hear the tone or inflection of our voices. Misinterpretations are not uncommon here. I am just as guilty of misinterpreting things which are written to me.

I didn’t intend to write what I wrote above; it just came out, so I will leave it. I was going to write a personal thank you to all of you. I could list names of people who touched my life in one way or another this past season here on StR, but it would comprise just about everyone here. If you think you might be one of them, you probably are. I won’t list your names, because inevitably I will leave someone off. Just know that you have made a difference.

One last thing, I have enjoyed being a part of StR. No matter what happens in the future, the passion of Sacramento Kings fans is unparalleled. People here do make a difference to each other and to the community at large.
