The kings had a tough time last year finding production from the small forward position. This is no secret, Harrison Barnes can step in day 1 and solidify that position. Has great mid-range game already and should develop a good 3-pt shot. He's 6'8" with the strength and quickness to guard anyone at SF. I don't see any reason why we can pass on this guy at 5 (and he should be there). Also on a Barnes' note, Sacramento native and free agent Matt Barnes would be a nice fit off the bench to bring some leadership and mentor these young kings, and could help keep the team in his home town. Would love for the Kings roster to look like this going into next year:
PG: Isaiah Thomas, Jimmer Freddette
SG: Tyreke Evans, Marcus Thornton, Terrence Williams
SF: Harrison Barnes, Matt Barnes, John Salmons
PF: Jason Thompson, Chuck Hayes
C: Demarcus Cousins, Hassan Whiteside
We will have to find depth at PF/C through free agency, and re-sign JT, but I would love to see us address the SF position first and foremost.
