NBA Mock Draft: Chad Ford Slaps Andre Drummond To Kings At No. 5

Stay connected for news and updates

We're less than two weeks away from the 2012 NBA Draft. (The lockout schedule shift for the regular season seems to have really crunched up the timeframe.) Chad Ford released his latest mock draft on Thursday, and he happened to drop in the player who was working out in Sacramento into the No. 5 spot.

The Kings have not shied away in recent years from prioritizing talent over players with question marks; Drummond, who has a questionable motor, has such a high upside, I'm not sure they pass here, either. If they do, however, it's because they fell in love with UNC's John Henson and feel he's more mature and willing to blend.

I'm at the point where I can get myself excited about every player, and can get myself nervous about every player. (Note: I cannot get myself excited about Tyler Zeller. I cannot get myself nervous about Michael Kidd-Gilchrist.)

Note that in Ford's scenario, Harrison Barnes is still on the table when the Kings take Drummond. He falls to the Warriors at No. 7.
