With the glut of guards we currently have with Tyreke, Thornton, Thomas, Jimmer, 'Cisco and Salmons, I think it would make sense to try and trade one of them.
Thornton would be the best option because he has the most trade value other than Tyreke (and maybe Thomas) but I would rather keep Tyreke.
In my ideal world, we would be able to trade Thornton for a top 6 or 7 pick with a team that would rather have a proven scorer (although with mediocre stats everywhere else) than take a risk on a draft pick. If not a top pick, then a lottery pick along with a decent player would be good. (I was thinking Suns at 13 and their SF Jared Dudley.)

Yes, I realize that Thornton was our top scorer, but we were 6th in the league in scoring so that is not an issue. With MT gone, that frees up more shots for Cousin's down low, and also for Tyreke and Thomas along the perimeter.
Also, with getting another lottery pick, I would feel much safer drafting a risky player like Drummond at 5, as long as we stay safe with the other pick. It seems like the Kings really like John Henson, but I feel he would be a reach at the five. I also like Terrance Jones out of Kentucky, maybe Tyler Zeller if that second pick is after 12 or so. There are a lot of good choices for the 4 spot. My top three choices at 5 (obviously Davis and most likely MKG are gone) would be Robinson, maybe Barnes, and Drummond.
In the free agent market, I'd like to see the Kings make a push for Gerald Wallace at the 3. I realize that he is just leaving his prime and is injury prone. Last year he started and played in 58 out 66 games. He will still contribute on defense and fast breaks. I would also like to see JT resigned, as long as its on the cheap.
My lineup could look like
1. Thomas-Freddette
2. Evans-Salmons-Garcia
3. Wallace-Dudley-Outlaw-Honeycutt
4.Thompson-Rookie
5. Cousins-Hayes-Whiteside
I don't see the Kings resigning Green or Williams, and obiously some players could play in the D league.
