From what I have read, the Hornets would like to dump either Emeka Okafor or Trevor Ariza's contract and would give up the #10 pick to do that. The kings have a ton of cap space, and technically have the ability to absorb Trevor Ariza's contract while giving up one of their small contracts, Tyler Honeycutt for example. Does this sound like a good idea? assuming my assumption about the Hornets motive is correct. The kings are one of the few teams who can afford to make a deal like this and It would net us a second lottery pick. Of course given who our "owners" are, there is always an asterisk on ideas like this given their unwillingness to use cap space.
