It's just been announced that the Wizards traded Rashard Lewis and a 2nd round pick to the Hornets for SF Trevor Ariza and C Emeka Okafor. Here's the full story: http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/8077486/washington-wizards-get-new-orleans-hornets-emeka-okafor-trevor-ariza-rashard-lewis-pick
So why is this great news for the Kings? Because now it almost guarantees that we land either Harrison Barnes, MKG, or Thomas Robinson. Most people have agreed that the Wizards would pick Bradley Beal with their number 3 pick, but now it is almost a sure thing. With adding a SF Ariza, there is almost no chance that they will go for another SF. I would put money down that Beal is as sure a thing to the Wizards that Anthony Davis is the the Hornets.
Depending on who the Bobcats take at 2, (most likely either Thomas Robinson or MKG) and the Cavaliers at 4 (rumors are that they are fairly high on Barnes), that means that the Kings are almost defintely guaranteed one of the top three players atop STR's board (other than Davis).
Does it change how things were already perceived? Not much. But it does settle that water in what will happen between picks 2 and 4.
My board goes MGK, ThRob, Barnes.
