Geoff Petrie: Kings Looking Long-Term At Small Forward

Stay connected for news and updates

Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee again talked to Sacramento Kings president of basketball operations Geoff Petrie about the club's plans for Thursday. Petrie indicated that filling the hole at small forward for the long term is something he acknowledges needs to be done.

At this point, the Kings don't need a star at the position. Consistency is the key. And the Kings might get lucky and end up with their small forward of the future via tonight's NBA draft.

"It's possible," Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie said. "I think we still don't have a long-term solution there."

So Travis Outlaw isn't the answer? WHATEVER, guys.

The Bee's story also includes a terribly depressing list of the team's small forwards since Ron Artest was traded to Houston in 2008. Tyreke Evans, a guard, was not only the best option last year, but was pretty much the best one since '08. Amazing!
