The Kings have picked Thomas Robinson from Kansas with the No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. The high-motor power forward was left on the board when the Bobcats took Michael Kidd-Gilchrist at No. 2 and the Cavaliers stunningly took Dion Waiters at No. 4. (The rumors were accurate!)
Robinson's arrival puts Jason Thompson's future in doubt. J.T. will be a restricted free agent on Sunday. The Kings could still justify bringing him back, but with Chuck Hayes and Hassan Whiteside in addition to ThRob and DeMarcus Cousins, perhaps not.
The Kings' next scheduled pick is No. 36. A small forward would like be a wise choice
Welcome to Sacramento, Thomas and Jayla.
