*Before reading this trade idea, remember that this is probably never going to happen and I dont even know if the salaries would work but if it does we instantly become a contender even though after around 3 years we will probably be back to rebuilding(and sadly the trade involves the L*kers)
We trade Tyreke, 5th pick in this years draft, John Salmons, and the ability to switch our first round picks in 2017 if they want to(not sure if this is possible) for Kobe Bryant. The Lakers would do this because they need to start rebuilding and they get a possible star in Tyreke and having a high lottery pick plus the ability to switch picks with us in 2017 which will probably be another lottery pick will help them greatly in rebuilding.
After that, we would trade Marcus Thortan, Hassan Whiteside, and our 2nd round pick to the Suns for Steve Nash. The Suns do this because the Steve Nash era needs to end and they get a good player in Thortan and they get the next Dikembe Mutombo in Whiteside so it's a no brainier for them.
Then after completing these trades, we resign Terence Williams, Jt, and another bigman in FA, and then we have an instant contender.
Our lineup would look like this
Terance Williams/ Travis outlaw/ Honneycut
DMC/ random player we get in FA
Nash would be a perfect PG for this team and DMC and Kobe become Shaq and Kobe 2.0. We would have a top 5 center, a great PG, and the best closer in the game with Kobe so we instantly will compete for a championship. Even though theses trades screw us in the future we need to win now with the big possibility of the Kings leaving and if we win a title we will have added support to have the Kings stay in Sac Town. Again, this obviously will also delay our rebuilding process even more, but we would compete or at least 3 years, probably getting at least one title because Nash is dying to win one before he retires causing him to more focused than ever to win one, and even after a few years when Nash retires and Kobe leaves, we will still have DMC.
Make it happen GP! (sorry for bad spelling)
