Hey everyone. I'm sure most of you came here expecting a nice happy post where we can all rant and rave about our wonderful owners the Magoofs, so you are going to be terribly disappointed in the paragraphs that follow. But I'm sure that if you go back to fanposts page and scroll down a couple times, that you can find a place to hate on the Magoofs, I know I need one.

Nope this is actually a serious page with an idea for the magoofs to raise some much needed cash, because I don't think our second round draft pick is going to last very long... and ever since that fateful day, the rest of the league has realized what Kings fans have known for ages; the Maloofs are flat broke.

My idea, though, would only happen IF the Kings get a new arena (notice how the IF is capitalized, that wasn't by accident.) What would happen is IF we get our fancy new arena, the Maloofs would have no need for old Arco Arena, and it would most likely be destroyed, but why not have a little fun with it. The Maloofs could have people pay $(insert small amount of money here) for an opportunity to take a sledge hammer or jack hammer or whatever floats your boat to Arco.

I know what most of you are saying, "I could never bring myself to hurt Arco, I have great memories there!" I have great memories there as well, its where I went to my first basketball game, but let me offer a short analogy.

Once there were a tribe of Indians (this represents the original Kings fans and ownership) and they had a sacred burial ground (Arco Arena and the Kings organization in general). Along came the white men (the Maloof family) and they took a massive dump all over the Indians sacred burial ground and scared off most of the Indian so that only a few extremely loyal and die-hard Indians remained (the readers of STR).

You see? Arco was once a wonderful thing but it has been desecrated by the Maloofs. Although, they might have to use some of that left over paint and paint a couple nice big pictures of the three stooges for us to aim for.

But this being the Maloofs, we'd be forced to supply our own demolition equipment and haul off all the rubble... and pay double for parking :)
