Look guys as the 2012-2013 basketball year (slowly) approaches I think it’s time to forgive the Maloofs and give them one more chance. I mean, time heals everything right? We are suppose to be one of the more loyal fan bases in the league right? Instead of hating the Maloofs at this time, what would it say if we fully supported them? (hear me out here...more after the jump)

Look guys, sure the Maloofs have made plenty of mistakes but they have made it clear they want to stay in Sacramento, George Maloof even came out saying "Yes. We are 100 percent committed to Sacramento, We always have been, from the moment we decided to stay in Sacramento a year ago," Come on, that sounds pretty genuine and trustworthy to me. Perhaps George bringing in a financial advisor who claimed the deal was not sound for the city of Sacramento was truly just another way for them to show that they really care about us and our best interest. Lets give them the benefit of the doubt here. Not only did the Maloofs save our city by putting an end to a downtown arena that would have surely been a waste of money and not revitalize our downtown area, but then they also came forth with another honest attempt to prove their commitment with us when George Maloof said…"Why don’t we look at redoing Power Balance (Pavilion)? It just seems more natural. It’s less money. There’s less pressure on everybody." Wow, see guys its less money. Less money for them, but more importantly…it’s less money for us. And then this off year they really showed their commitment to this team. They extended the contracts of Coach Smart and Jason Thompson, I mean shoot, the Maloofs even managed to go above the salary floor by getting James Johnson and Aaron Brooks. If that not commitment that I don’t know what is.

You see my friends, it’s time for us to lower our pitchforks and torches and replace them with love and support. I know that’s my plan, tonight I might even go buy a bottle of ‘Zing’ to show my support. Maybe I’ll even write Adrienne Maloof a letter expressing how I’m sorry for her recent divorce. Yeah.. Yeah that’s what I’ll do, and that what we should do, kill them over with kindness.

It’s time we give the Maloofs another chance and forgive them
