Kings vs. Wizards: John Wall leads Washington into Sacramento

Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

The resurgent Wizards have John Wall back, and visit Sacramento to face the Kings.

This is the second "highly winnable" game of the Sacramento Kings' current five-game homestand. The Kings followed through to win that first one on Monday, and now the Washington Wizards visit on Wednesday. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. Pacific on Comcast SportsNet California and 1140 AM.

The Wizards come in with the East's worst record, but have won three straight, including two since John Wall made his season debut on Saturday. (Amazing what a strong point guard can do, no?) Washington will be looking to take advantage of an inconsistent, porous Kings team that seriously might be a little distracted right now.

The Wizards are much better on defense than offense, so keeping Wall and company in check on the scoreboard and finding ways to score efficiently through some combination of shooting and pounding the paint will be key. The best way to beat the Wizards, in my estimation, is to limit their points scored, because the Kings' own offensive success should mean that Sacramento can get toward or over 100 points in a normally paced game.

We'll have fan predictions soon, a game thread at 7 and a recap to follow.
