Kings vs. Cavaliers: A truly winnable game

Stay connected for news and updates

Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

The Kings lost a close one in Detroit on Tuesday, but have an easier opponent on Wednesday.

Don't say I didn't warn you: the Kings on the road are as bad as any team in the NBA. They showed it on Tuesday, losing to Detroit by six. On Wednesday, they face a Cavaliers team that is just 3-10 at home this season, and don't think that the Kings can't lose to them, too. The Kings are now 1-13 on the road this season.

The game is at 4 p.m. on Comcast SportsNet California and 1140 AM.

Cleveland won just three times in December, but two of those were within the past 10 days. Cleveland's last home win came on December 11 against the Lakers, though. They've lost to the Bucks, Raptors, Pacers and Hawks at home since then.

The Cavaliers are No. 27 in the league in offense and No. 25 in defense. Anderson Varejao is out and Daniel Gibson is doubtful. Tyreke Evans is out for the Kings and Marcus Thornton is day-to-day. The Kings really could have used Thornton on Tuesday; the bench was pretty rough, especially in the second quarter.
