NBA fans unite

The NBA BOG has a chance to take away the Sacramento Kings from a City and fan base who have been loyal since they arrived in 1985. I ask for your support for this not to turn into another deserving city losing a team. Seattle is a great sports city, and what happened to their SuperSonics team was terrible. Even though the situation is different in Sacramento, the outcome looms to be the same. Both cities and fans were lied to from the beginning and were given false hope.

Sacramento Kings fans have sold out their Arena through the good times, and the bad times. The city and the fans have done EVERYTHING the NBA has asked. They were given false hope that with the new arena deal, the Kings would stay. The Maloofs have lied to the city, the NBA, and the fans. The management of this team has been horrendous. The team has been under the salary cap for multiple years, 5 different coaches since 2006, multiple players that don't have the talent to be in the NBA, and have lost multiple major advertising partners. The Maloofs have caused over millions of dollars in tax payers money in multiple cities and owe over $100 million to the NBA and over $70 million to the bond holders in Sacramento. The new arena deal that Sacramento came up with less than a year was approved by the NBA and AEG who would overlook the arena. At first the Maloofs seemed excited both the city and the owners approved; but they never were excited about the deal. The Maloofs have not had the money to make this team competitive and they didn't have the $70 million for the new $400 million arena. The problem with this team is not the city or the fans, its the Maloofs. The Maloofs have talked to multiple people who want to buy the team and move them. They have not given Sacramento a chance to keep our team. They will not talk to anyone who will keep this team in Sacramento.

I ask for your help because I know if the NBA customers speak out, the NBA BOG will listen. Seattle deserves a NBA team and it will make lots of money for the NBA, but Sacramento has proven that they can support their team and they are excited at the opportunity to work with new owners who will keep the team local and build a new arena. Approving the deal to the Seattle group doesn't make what happened in Seattle right. It shows that the NBA doesn't care about their loyal customers. It shows owners can lie, give false hope, and run teams into the ground and get paid millions and get away with it.

Soon there will be a local group that will have a competitive counter-offer to the Seattle group. I ask for help for you to let it be heard that as Sacramento Kings fans, we will not go down without a fight, we will keep fighting for our team and it is NOT the right thing to approve the Seattle offer.
