Kings schedule: Preseason Week 1 is here, everyone!

USA TODAY Sports

THE PRESEASON HAS ARRIVED.

Oh my gosh oh my gosh oh my gosh basketball everyone basketball is back in Sacramento! BASKETBALL. SACRAMENTO KINGS BASKETBALL. I'm excited.

MONDAY: Kings at Warriors, 7:30 p.m. Pacific, NBA TV

The Kings' preseason debut is Monday. As in today. Also, it's Vivek's birthday. We'll get our first look at the team under Michael Malone, our first look at Greivis Vasquez, Ben McLemore, Luc Richard Mbah a Moute and perhaps Ray McCallum with the club, we get Top Hat back in our lives and we get SACRAMENTO KINGS BASKETBALL. Woo!

No local TV, just NBA TV.

THURSDAY: Kings at Lakers in Las Vegas, 7 p.m. Pacific, NBA TV

The Kings do the annual Vegas dance with the Lakers, who are without Kobe Bryant for the foreseeable future. Another NBA TV game, another chance to see our new players in action under our new coach.

And that's it for the week. A light schedule with, surely, lots of practice time. The Kings will be back at home the following week for a pair, and Oakland + Vegas are easy trips. (Santa Barbara back to Sacramento might actually be more complicated than either of those.)

Basketball!
