There is nothing like being a Sacramento Kings fan. We are equally respected and the laughing stock of the Association and always have been. Even when the team was really good we've always been outcasts on the major networks. Because of our dedication we as fans have managed to stave off an inevitable sale and relocation of one of the most moved teams in American sports history. The new owner is hiring people with history of success. Even the "rookie head coach" helped Chris Paul evolve into an All-Star. Management has made the decision that for the time being that extending Cousins' contract was the best way to start rebuilding this team. Obviously looking at my new handle for this forum I strongly agree with the move and will explain why right now to avoid any confusion. He's the best all around big man in the league. That's it. He can shoot, has a low post game, isn't afraid of contact, plays with pain & holds his teammates accountable. Where this team has serious issues is the on the perimeter, both offensively & Defensively. The coach has decided that maximum defense is the only acceptable way to play this season & with this roster it's hard to knock that. My concern is that the "statements" are costing us a couple of early wins. Normally I'm okay with that. This team, in this situation off the court, can not afford those types of statements unless the statement is "pack your bags because you're traded". Too many games left to lose the intoxication of keeping the team after all of this.
