Rudy Gay, new Kings will not be available for Sacramento vs. Mavericks Monday

Russ Isabella-USA TODAY Sports

The Kings have a game on Monday. It doesn't look like the new members of the team will play.

While Rudy Gay, Aaron Gray and Quincy Acy will be in Sacramento on Monday to take physicals after being traded to the Kings, reports suggest they will not be available to play in the team's night game against the Mavericks. That will give Michael Malone a limited frontcourt lineup to work with.

Without Gay or Acy, Derrick Williams, Travis Outlaw and Jason Thompson will be the only active forwards. Without Gray, Hamady N'Diaye and Thompson will have to soak up any minutes behind DeMarcus Cousins. The guard situation is totally normal since the Kings didn't get any guards in the deal.

Isaiah Thomas will get his first start of the season on Monday. So much for the Sixth Man of the Year chase! The Kings host the Mavericks at 7 p.m. Pacific at Sleep Train Arena.
