The Sacramento Kings ended the "first half" of the season with a 123-100 loss in Dallas at the hands of Mavericks in front of an announced crowd of 19,892.
Vince Carter led the Mavs with 26 points off the bench, including 6-9 from three-point range. Darren Collison added 18 points and 9 assists for Dallas, and Dirk Nowitzki chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. As a team, the Mavericks posted a blistering true shooting percentage of 59.5%.
Tyreke Evans scored 23 points on 8-12 shooting (plus 7-7 from the free throw line), but turned the ball over 5 times. DeMarcus Cousins added 17 points and a game high 13 rebounds, but also turned the ball over 5 times. Jason Thompson also scored 17 points, with 9 rebounds.
The Kings head into the all star break with a record of 19-35, while the Mavericks improve to 23-29. The Kings next play on Tuesday, February 19 when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
