Fellow members of the royal roundhouse I get your pain. I understand the frustration associated with everything related to matters both on and off the court with our Sacramento Kings. Some members of this very site made their voices heard way back when talk of Anaheim of all places was considered not only possible but plausible. Be it their voice, be it the voices of others, or maybe just the right witch's brew of the two, something magical happened and our team stuck around.
Now we find ourselves in a similar situation but against a much more troublesome and serious threat. Do we, as a fanbase, complain online or do we make our voice heard in an official capacity in a public forum? I think the former is smart but the latter is vital. Tomorrow night there is indeed a game against the San Antonio Spurs and to all of you that are going my cap is doffed. It just so happens that there is also a 6:00 P.M. Sacramento City Council meeting at 915 "I" Street in downtown Sacramento. Crown Downtown has a presence but I have been to a couple meetings recently and there are still empty seats in the chamber. If you have the time and the inclination please make it out. Mike, the gentleman that heads up everything, asks that everyone be there at 5:00 P.M. if possible.
Public parking is available but costs money depending on where you park (be it the public garage on 10th Street or metered street parking). Most metered street parking is until 6:00 P.M. unless noted otherwise and depending on where you are it is sometimes free, too.
Hope to see you there.
