“I still have my doubts that Sacramento is going to be considered anything like a major-league sports city…People have just been nodding and saying, ‘You’re right, Sacramento is just not going to support sports to any great extent.” – Former Sacramento Mayor Anne Rudin on April 30, 1984
One year later Gregg Lukenbill and company brought their recently purchased Kansas City Kings to Sacramento. Rudin was proven to be wrong and the rest is history.
Today, we have a mayor who has a vision and the leadership that saved our Kings in April 2011 and he is going to attempt to save our Kings one more time.
Please join us this Tuesday, February 5th to show our support to Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson and the city council as they have fought so hard over the last few years. Together and united as one we can make a difference.
The meeting begins at 6:00pm but we are asking everyone to show up at 5:00pm. Once you arrive you will be given a white Crown Downtown T-shirt to wear.
Sacramento City Hall is located at:
915 I Street
Sacramento, CA 95814
