Sacramento receives Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas, and Cole Aldrich. And of course, the Kings get cash.

In an unexpected move, the Sacramento Kings have trade Thomas Robinson, Francisco Garcia, and Tyler Honeycutt to the Houston Rockets for Patrick Patterson, Toney Douglas, Cole Aldrich, and cash. The Kings were not expected to make ant moves at the deadline, so this comes as quite a shock.

Robinson was the 5th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. Robinson was highly touted coming out of Kansas, and was ranked by many teams as the second best player coming into the draft. Although he started the season slowly, he had come on in recent months despite a lack of playing time.

The move appears to be cost-cutting, as Patterson is the only player coming to the Kings who is under contract after this season.

The trade was first reported by Yahoo!'s Adrian Wojnarowski, with Sam Amick confirming details immediately after.

On a personal note, I am livid about this trade. It seems the Maloofs and Petrie found a way to stick it to Kings fans at least one more time.
