The Kings have now lost five straight after a 110-95 loss to the Hornets in New Orleans on Sunday. The Hornets scored 1.25 points per possession as the Kings continue to trot out the league's worst defense. Anthony Davis popped off for 20 points on 9-14 shooting, and Eric Gordon scored 17 in 29 minutes.

John Salmons was the Kings' star, scoring 18. Fifteen of those came in the third quarter as Sacramento tied desperately to hang on to hope. Salmons hit five threes in that period; one can only imagine the horror of the final margin had he not done so.

Patrick Patterson, who has not yet had a practice or shootaround with the club, played a grand total of 2-1/2 minutes in garbage. The Kings featured him on his first three possessions on the court. He picked up a layup, a missed bunny and an offensive foul. So in other words, it was a wonderful ode to Thomas Robinson and/or Two-Pat's numbersake Kenny Thomas. I look forward to seeing what he can do after a few days of acclimation.
