The city will (hopefully) unveil its term sheet with Mark Mastrov and Ron Burkle on Thursday, then hold three public workshops on the plan before the City Council votes on March 26.

The city announced on Friday that three public workshops will be held to give residents and business owners an opportunity to review the term sheet currently being developed by city manager John Shirey and potential Kings owners Mark Mastrov and Ron Burkle. In addition to the "unveiling" of the term sheet at City Hall on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. -- where the public will be invited to comment and ask questions -- the city will hold public workshops at:

* The Robertson Center on Norwood on March 22 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

* The Pannell Center on Meadowview on March 23 from 9-11 a.m.

There will no doubt be questions when the term sheet is released -- I encourage members of the fan community to show up, dig in and support Sacramento's effort to keep the Kings. It's imperative that we finish the play and close out hard.
