NOTE: TO MAKE SURE THAT WE INCLUDE EVERYONE WHO WANTS TO ATTEND, WE WILL EXTEND THE DEADLINE FOR PURCHASING TICKETS WITH THE GROUP TO SATURDAY, MAY 25TH.
Hi Kings fans!
First of all, congratulations to everyone in the Sacramento Kings community! This process has been extremely drawn out, but your constant perserverence is a testament to the character of the city, the fans and all of the team's stakeholders (except for 3 or 4 people who shall remain nameless). Also, we all owe a big thank you to everyone at Sactown Royalty for writing and for facilitating this wonderful hub.
We here in New York City have tried to do our part to represent the fans back in Sacramento - from freezing days spent in front of Board of Governors meetings to calling the Grant Napear Show long-distance to paying over $60 for nosebleed seats just to cheer the Kings on during 20+ point losses against the Nets and Knicks. Like you, we endure the problems yet remain steadfast in our fandom because we love our team and believe in a better tomorrow.
Well, that tomorrow is finally upon us(!).
To celebrate our collective victory and to look ahead to the team's bright future, we would like to invite you to join us at the 2013 NBA Draft on Thursday, June 27th at the Barclays Center in Downtown Brooklyn! This will be our first chance to cheer-on new ownership (hopefully) as well as new players and show the other teams why the Kings have the best fans in the NBA. After the draft, we will continue the celebration at a nearby bar.
Tickets (~$35) go on sale on Wednesday, May 22nd, and we plan to purchase tickets on that day to make sure we get the best seats possible. We would like to coordinate with everyone who is interested in attending so that we can sit together in the same section and make our collective cheers much louder.
If you are interested in attending, go to http://onepagerapp.com/kingsdraft2013 for more information. If you have any questions, please contact Matt (@mtmoore55) or Scott (@hypotheticalslf).
