It appears that as soon as Thursday the Sacramento Kings will have an assistant general manager. From the all-knowing Adrian Wojnarowksi:
Denver's Mike Bratz is flying to Sacramento to finalize deal as assistant GM today, sources tell Y! He'll reunite w/ GM Pete D'Alessandro.— Adrian Wojnarowski (@WojYahooNBA) June 20, 2013
Mike Bratz is actually a former Sacramento King! The California native finished his NBA career in the Kings' first season in Sacramento, playing very limited minutes as a back-up point guard. He also spent six years as an assistant coach under Garry St. Jean and Eddie Jordan. Now 57, he had gotten into scouting after his playing career. He most recently served as Denver's director of player personnel. Bratz was with the Cleveland front office from 2000-2009, serving under both John Paxson and Danny Ferry. Some of his time in Cleveland would have overlapped with that of Kings head coach Michael Malone and assistant Chris Jent. We're now a very Ohio team!
Welcome back to Sacramento, Mike.
